Linda was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA (yes, the Billy Joel one…), and after living in Michigan for 12 years, her family moved to Delaware. It was there, when she was 16 that she began her radio career.
She worked in many music formats over those years, which provided her excellent knowledge for her brief stint on the Voice of Peace in the winter of 1988.
She says, ‘I was lucky enough to be one of the few women to broadcast regularly from the ship. I worked with Kenny Page (RIP), John Macdonald, and Ofer Nachshon. Being able to broadcast into my beloved Israel will always be one of the highlights of my radio career.’
An observant Jew, Linda now lives in Florida bringing up 4 children full time. She manages to travel to Israel at least once a year where she re-contacts with many of the Voice of Peace team.
She says her view on life is, ‘I love to laugh, don’t want to sweat the small stuff, and I want myself and my children to be believers even when the world does not.’
Linda presents the ‘USA Takeover’ Sunday through to Friday at 1am.
